UNISON Young Members  
    
Hello everyone, this is just a quick note to introduce myself as your new Young Member Officer for UNISON. I’m Tom Clarke, and a PCSO based in Northampton.

I would like to be really honest with you all… I joined UNISON when I started with the Force because

everybody else on the intake did, but after speaking to members who had used services provided I realised how far the member’s fees go each month and how much good our stewards do for the people on the ground.

The Young Members part of the organisation was created to:
     
bullet Provide a voice for Young Members;
bullet Give Young Members the chance to develop their skills and knowledge;
bullet Support Young Members in becoming active in the wider union.
  
We have our own newsletter that comes out every 3 months and our own section on the UNISON National website. There’s so much stuff on there about what is available to Young Members, discounts and events that UNISON organise.
